About Lee Spencer Photography

Lee was first curious about photography at age ten when his father showed him how the photographic process worked. The amazement of seeing a photograph develop before his eyes was the inspiration for a lifelong photographic career.

Lee's curiosity continued from there to high school where he majored in Media Communications, which turned his interest into a passion. Lee holds an Associate degree in Commercial Photography and General Applied Photography from the Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology (Dayton, Oh).

Lee has worked with several of Stark County's finest commercial and portrait photographers including Richard Coleman at The Darkroom (North Canton), Schwabe Studios (Dayton, Oh), Jack Keplinger at Industrial Photographers (Canton, Oh), and Gary Warstler (North Canton, Oh). Lee also served as the Director of Photographic and Video Services for 9 years at Standards Testing Labs, TransTech Division (Massillon, Oh.). Lee has also served as a photography instructor for Glenoak High School's, North Canton Hoover High School's and Jackson High School's continuing education programs.

In 1996 Lee opened his present studio in North Canton, Ohio. In the beginning he worked with conventional film photography and is now working exclusively with state of the art digital imaging equipment. Digital imaging helps to make professional photography more affordable and is only limited by one's imagination.

Lee is incessantly researching new and exciting ways to improve his craft. He has steadily added to his repertoire of specialties. The studio now services ad agencies, small businesses, large corporations, and manufacturers, as well as family and senior portrait clients.

His wife, Tammy, compliments Lee's photographic talent. Her warm personality and well-developed customer service skills will help make your association with Lee Spencer Photography a pleasing one.
